About
Krishna Bhabini Nari Siksha Mandir, a beacon of educational excellence, has proudly illuminated the path of knowledge for 98 years. Established as the first English medium Girls’ Higher Secondary School in the Presidency Division of historic Bengal, our institution was founded by the visionary Late Harihar Sett in loving memory of his mother, Krishnabhabini Devi.
Over the decades, we’ve fostered a legacy of academic brilliance, with our students consistently achieving outstanding results in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations. Our commitment to holistic education extends beyond the classroom, nurturing co-curricular activities, sports, and character development.
With our heritage building, patronized by Rabindranath Tagore himself, we embrace modernity through ICT integration and student-led innovation. Our dedicated staff, supportive community, and government collaboration drive us towards our goal of “free & fare education with character building.” We believe, like Swami Vivekananda, that education manifests perfection within us, making us the torchbearers of a brighter tomorrow.
